Color changes? Because I have color vision problems.

I realize that I'm rare in this instance, so I don't expect you to do anything, but I do have to say it. I hope it doesn't sound like whining.

I'm color-deficient. Not color-blind, but I do have problems with certain colors, and for me--not for all color-deficient folks, just the ones with my particular flavor of it--for me, the red-on-black is really, really hard to read. For instance, I have to highlight the number of messages because it's, well, red n black, and by highlighting it I can make sure I'm reading it correctly. (I can read white on red, or white on black. I have gotten in trouble with bosses because I didn't act on the text they made red in their email messages...but I didn't know they were different.)

Now, there might actually be stuff on these boards for folks who are differently-abled, but my particular flavor of color deficiency is such that usually I can make out fine. And, quite frankly, I haven't been around these boards long enough to experiment with what my browser can do to override colors and so on...

But if there were an easy way to provide an alternate color scheme, I'd love to hear about it. I do have to gird my loins (metaphorically) before I dive into the website. I do, because I want to be here, but gosh...any suggestions on how I could make it easier?

This facility might already exist: maybe there's something I haven't stumbled over in the User Control Panel or whatever.

If the facility doesn't exist, can you think about how you might provide it without ruining your cool look?

About the only thing you can do setting wise with the site is change the theme from Nebular to the other one (which is black text on pale blue).

Another option (which I suppose may depend on your browser) is to install some addon/extension which allows you to change the formatting used on specific websites. I have no experience of this myself, but I have seen browser extensions used to change colour schemes on various websites and such.
