Civil War: X-Men

Thank you so much for the Rogue preview, Cam!

After weathering Hurricane Sandy and sitting without power for a few days, it was a real treat to find my favorite character's datafile when the power finally switched back on. =D

I just got my power back due to Hurricane Sandy... and I want to say thank you Cam for the Rogue preview! One of my all-time favorites, no less! Can't wait for the book itself :)

Personally, I'd probably have gone with "Add a d8 and keep an additional effect die to inflict physical stress OR create a Copied Powers asset." Or perhaps, since she has killed people before, have her touch deal damage and add a d8 to create a complication or asset.

Also, since people were talking about Mimic, Rogue's taken little non-damaging touches from allies before, hasn't she? I know she did it a lot in the cartoons if she needed a specific power. In this case, she rolls vs the doom pool to get a bit of extra oomph.

I like that. For Rogue in my game, I am going to take it even further. "Add a d8 and keep an additional effect die to inflict physical stress or create a Copied Powers asset. Spend 1 PP to instead add 2d6, keep two extra effect dice and do both in addition to the complication."

What I like most about this slight modification to this already effective datafile, the player can choose which effect to assign the highest effect die to, which simulates the variety of ways we've seen Rogue's powers work in different situations.

I was curious if there was an update looming on when this product is expected to drop. Really looking forward to it... :D

We are all hoping it's soon but man, it feels like it is taking extra long for some reason.

Remember Cam said something they had to make more premium and essential Civil War Books and then they would be printing 50 States. But i hope we get it soon.

Oh I remember, but I don't get the part where, if it's done, and it sounds like it is, why you'd forsake that extra revenue while waiting for the physical copies. That's money not being made. I'm sure they have their reasons, but regardless they are prohibiting us from throwing money at them. i JUST WANT THEM TO TAKE MY MONEY ALREADY! :)

We'd like to get the books to print and thus fulfill preorders before we go too far ahead with PDF releases. I think that's generally a good thing and considerate of retailers and those who're waiting for their product in print form.

I'll update as soon as I get more information for you! I'm just as excited to see these books get into your hands as you are.

Cheers,
Cam
