EDIT: P.S. that "You still don't know a bloody thing about women" clip irritates, especially when all three "What You Need To Know" sub-sections refer to the datafiles of men.

But its an almost perfect Captain America clip!

To be fair, this podcast has been infinitely clearer with terminology than some of the others that I've listened to.

Just listened to the podcast last night at work. I really enjoyed it! Hearing people talk a bit more in-depth about the game helps to solidify concepts in my mind.

The advice about describing why the doom pool is increasing really made me think. I'd been just handing out PP and getting doom dice left and right, and it didn't feel as satisfying as it should. Next game I'll describe why that 1 added to the doom pool and it should make the whole thing much more relevant. I think that will also help players understand how buying an opportunity means they have to describe the how the villain's flub powers their stunt.

On a side note, this is the first interview with Cam I've listened to. His avatar over on the rpg.net forums is Jason Statham (I think) so I've always assumed he talked like him too. Much different voice. Super psyched to hear about the interchangeable power sets coming in Annihilation.

Just finished listening to the episode 1. Great stuff! Good banter with the hosts, nice interview, nice to hear game play in action.

My only c̶o̶m̶p̶l̶a̶i̶n̶t̶ constructive advice was spending so much time reading through the character sheets. I guess something like that is helpful, since using distinctions and specialties are core to the mechanics and unlike most other systems, but three (or was it four?) was just too much. I finally skipped over Wolverine and went to the interview.

Things I would like to hear in the future:
- putting events together, perhaps picking a comic storyline and modeling that
- putting a custom character together, perhaps using a familiar existing character (say, batman) as an example
- Marvel continuity around the time of published events. I've had to go back and find comics to fill myself in on some of the goings on in the universe, and it's tricky to know what is what in so many different alternate story lines.
- It sounded like everyone was playing remotely, so maybe some advice on that.

But overall, I loved it! I'm subscribed and eagerly awaiting the next one!

Oops, just realized that here isn't the ideal place for feedback on podcast that someone else is doing. Sorry about that!

Having became a fan of Hawv and ReaperBryan's work during their time on the City of Doors podcast, I'm very much enjoying their latest endeavor. I got the feeling that RB was still a bit new to MHRPG when recording that segment discussing the Doom Pool (which did a lot to really help me wrap my head around that particularly part of the game), and given how many other games he's played or is possibly playing, mixing up Power Points and Plot Points isn't that bad, with Hawv at least being much more consistent. Second episode is better about terminology though.

Audio quality issues aside, I've enjoyed listening to the live play segments, particularly with Jason giving a sort of behind-the-scenes play-by-play of how the game works, something that is bound to be useful to neophyte watchers. I'm very much looking forward to hearing more of their play-thru of Breakout, especially as RB really does seem to be getting into playing the ol' Webhead.

LOL, but sending legal assassins against Doom might not cut it (pun intended)
