Buck Wild appeared in several issues of Icon, and for a while even took over the title role when Arnus was off-planet. Problem is, he's kind of an idiot. Oh, and he got killed.
It was revealed at his funeral that he'd also been known as Buck Goliath (using a growth serum), Jim Crow (winged sidekick to the Patriot), and Buck Lightning (after rigging himself up to a bunch of batteries). One of his supervillain arch-foes later raised him from the dead as "Buck Voodoo" but he soon returned to his grave to rest in peace.
When encountered as just plain Buck Wild, he only has his EXPERIMENTAL FREEZING PROCESS power set; in another guise, he'll have one extra power set chosen from those listed.
Buck's creator, Dwayne McDuffie, wrote:
A semi-affectionate humorous jab at Marvel's Hero For Hire, Buck Wild proved so popular that he returned several times, eventually replacing the original Icon for a while. Even his death couldn't stop him from taking a final bow.
