A Question on MSs and a House Rule for PPs

Hi everyone!

First the question:
For every milestone, there is a 1xp situation that can be achieved virtually infinite times in a scene. That's ok. BUT:

The Heart of a Prince
1 XP: when you first use your powers to give a support asset to an ally.

from The Thing's datafile. What does it mean "you first use"? It means you can get the 1xp only one time per scene?


Then the house rule:
You can spend 1PP to have your hero break in the scene if she was not already here. It's up to you to explain how and why she managed to arrive (or maybe she was always there!). Think of the primetime adventures' rule wich does the same thing by spending fanmail.

My intent is to follow the same logic of how the watcher can rearrange the heroes' current positions to force them to use a particular affiliation by spending doom pool.

This also follows closely with some of the Smallville Asset uses.

I know you can use Superspeed to do just that as well as other mechanics...like cellphone/computer hacking narrations.

I'd let you interrupt a scene with Speed or Flight or Teleport the same way the Watcher can interrupt with her own Watcher characters. So long as the person who's going to go next doesn't have higher Speed or movement power, spend the PP and show up. I wouldn't let people without the speed do this, though.

As for the Milestone: yes, it's once per Scene PER ALLY. So, the Thing could support each of the other three members of the FF in a Scene, once per action, and get 3 XP total.

thank you for the replies! It seems like someone already asked those questions... Next time I will search the forums more in detail

however, my first session (this friday) we will play without any house rule at all.
