assets, complications, stunts, resources do I have it right?

assets, complications, stunts, resources do I have it right?

Ok, lets see if I get this...

Assets
No PP expenditure.
Takes an action.
Roll vs. the doom pool.
Successful roll means effect die can now be used by you or an ally the asset is given to for a few rolls or perhaps to the scene's end. Spend a pp to last until after next scene.
Step up using a watcher opportunity if done just before or during.
Examples: Thing picks up a steel girder to smash the Hulk with. The Invisible Woman becomes transparent to assist with sneaking into a facility or sneak attacking someone. Colossus throws Wolverine in a “fastball special.”

Complications
No PP expenditure.
Takes an action.
Roll vs. your opponent.
Success means you now have an effect die that works against your opponent. It might keep them from certain actions. Each time another character rolls against them they get the complication die as a bonus. Step it past 12 to take them out with it.
Example: Spiderman webs his foe. Hawkeye shoots an arrow into the footing of the alien to knock him off the roof.

Resources
Takes a PP
No Action needed, takes place during transition scene or off of an opportunity.
Provide a resource bonus for the next scene to your or an ally equal to your specialty stepped down one die.
Example: Reed Richards makes a sonic gun to take down Carnage. Captain American pulls his Harley out of the garage.

Stunts
Takes a pp.
No Roll.
Without thought it gives a d6(push die), with cool narrative it gives d8, when also timed with an opponent's opportunity it gives d10. In any case it happens just with the next action you take.
Example: Black Widow runs up the wall, dropping behind her opponent and kicking him in the back of the head.

Yep. But you can also create a resource off a Watcher opportunity. It works the same, otherwise.

does doing it off a watcher opportunity allow you to not spend the pp...or is it the one way to do it during an action scene instead of a transition scene?

not exactly.

A push die does not need any description; you add a d6 to the roll, or a d8 if you activated an opportunity from the watcher.

A stunt is a creative application of one of your powers or specialties and gives a d8, or a d10 if you activated an opportunity.

The Hawkeye example under the Complication description doesn't sound so much like a complication as it does an attack action.

Minor nitpick: You can give an asset to someone else. It doesn't have to be used by you.

Example: Colossus picks up Wolverine and creates a "Fastball Special" asset. Wolverine then rolls to attack using the asset. The Invisible Woman protects Mr Fantastic with a force field.

ok, I made a couple tweaks to the original post...though I kept the push die discussion minimal, including it in stunts as I think a pp for a push die is a wasted effort when with a little imagination you can make it a stunt.
