Arrow

Postby dvus » Mon Oct 15, 2012 11:56 am

So, I saw the premier of Arrow last week and I'm excited for the second episode in a couple days. From the first episode, the show really seems like it would be a good fit for a Smallville game. Did anyone else catch the first episode? Are you planning on watching the show?

I'm thinking it would be fun to stat up all the characters from the show for Smallville.

I loved the pilot. I think this is a great idea! Who'd be up for assembling a "fan" supplement for use with Smallville?

Cheers,

I dunno...

I liked the pilot, but they made Ollie a lot darker than i've seen him. Granted this is an ADAPTION and I should take it as it is, but he was killing folks...Clark would never have let the old Green Arrow get away with that (in Smallville).

I do like how he plays up the asshat role as Ollie, which is in stark contrast with his role as Arrow and I wonder what is going to happen to Dinah Laurel Lance (aka Black Canary).

I was watching it with my 9 year old daughter until he broke the guys neck and I had to tell her that this was above her pay grade to watch.

I'm definitely up for putting together Arrow stuff for Smallville.

And, yeah, he was darker. I read an interview and it looks like they're going to bring violence and the consequences of violence up in this show. I don't know how much that's going to feature, but if the premiere was any indication, I think it's going to be an important theme. And I'm excited to see that. It should be an interesting look into what it might actually be like to be a "superhero". I wonder how close "Harry Dresden" is going to come to catching Green Arrow.

Sure (if it winds up worth sharing).

What would be the best way to make a group effort of it? A wiki?

Sounds good. I've used Google Docs a lot, but I'm not sure that would be the best option, here. Especially if you're just going to leave it on the wiki for people to access. A collection of Google Docs wouldn't be the easiest thing to navigate. So, sure! Why not a wiki!

Arrow starts in a little over an hour for me! I'll be watching for Value and Relationship statements and trying to figure out where all his steps should go.
