Sulphurium was originally a super soldier program created by the British during World War II. He was an Austrian kid and his parents were mistakenly confused with Lienz cossacks and ended up being sent back to USSR by the British where they were executed. Held captive, the boy was sent to England where he was subjected to indoctrination and heavy chemical testing. He could only remember the name they gave him, Damon and the name of the project, Brimstone, often also called Volcano.
Said project involved the usage of sulphur dioxide expelled from a volcano sharing similar traits with an underground one in Siberia, apparently also responsible for the Tunguska Event. After several tests it was discovered that if applied in small doses from childhood, instead of poisonous, the gas became the base formula of a genetic-altering effluvium. The vapor was capable of increasing and optimizing neuronal synapses and eye-hand coordination.
Damon escaped the facility and boarded a freight ship to America. Now imbued with a synthetic talent, Damon quickly climbed the social ladder and received a PhD in Chemistry. Feeling the side effects of his condition and motivated by it, he set out to find a cure. The plan was simple, purge whatever was inside him. For his sake, Damon was an excellent chemist, he not only halted the side effects but also had developed a new gas, a better one, a compound that would increase his physical prowess and that he would use to bring justice for all when none was given to his parents. He named it Sulphurium.
