Marvel Writeups

I'm trying to find GOOD datafiles for many heroes and villains not in the game book so far. I've done a popular one for The Silver Surfer, which has been posted on the Plot points website, and I've downloaded others I could find.

Do any of you have builds you have made for many of these characters you could post here or link to please?

I'm thinking characters like: Dr. Doom, The Hulk, War Machine, Beta Ray Bill, Hercules, Baron Zemo, Enchantress, etc.

Pretty much any character not already officially statted out by MWP.

I very much concur, I would kill for a Red Skull, Mandarinn and Kraven!

There is a site called Exploring Infinity that has a lot of datafiles. They aren't as nice looking as the ones from Plot Points (Another great site)

Links to both sites are below:

The more I play Marvel Heroic, the less I think villains need datafiles. Heroes, sure. But villains not so much. If you know enough about the baddie to handle a wiki search (Wikipedia or the Marvel Wikia) you can find enough personality info and power info to run the baddie on the fly. Even with all the datafiles included in the book, what 30 villains, there's very little mechanical difference between them. Not knocking the design at all, mechanically Marvel Heroic is really simple, in an amazing and fabulous way.

Watcher characters are either: Specialty, Minor, Major, Mobs, or Large-Scale Threats. The mechanical variety here is limited, ranging from lower dice and lower taken out threshold on up potentially several d12s to bust before it's taken out. In that whole range you're dealing with the same 3-5 dice at the low end up to 6-8 dice at the high end.

The real difference between Watcher characters isn't the mechanics, but the way the Watcher role-plays them. That's my take at least.
My apologies for occasional spelling... shenanigans. I typically post from mobile devices.

or you can use the info from any official handbook of the marvel universe, or any character stat from any of the older marvel universe rpgs as well.

I still want to see/create loads of villain datafiles because I'm a big kid and want new shiney toys to look at. Besides, I always love to see how someone else handled something differently than I would have. It inspires creative diversity.

But I think you are spot on here, Doc.

If you already have a handle on a character, you should be able to wing it pretty easily.

People love to delve into piles and piles of writeups. I'm one of them. :D

I remember when I got all hyped when I saw the JSA sourcebook for WEG's DC Universe. OMG so many writeups.
