Staring into the M'kraan Crystal

Events = Campaign Settings, yes. They allow us to do a number of things at once: stats for favorite heroes, locations and background for favorite Marvel Universe places and groups, adventure material, hooks for home-brew stories, etc. Each Event is a big What If? sandbox with a lot of tools and resources included for you to do with as you like.

I'm well aware many people don't want to play existing Marvel heroes, which is why we're not using any shoehorns. We're giving you great heroes with stats, provide you with carte blanche to tweak, modify, play, or bend them however you like (you're the writer/artist, after all), and make it possible to replace the stars of any given Event with other heroes and tell entirely new stories. We've found people are actually really grooving on playing existing Marvel heroes, so we're not going to back away from that approach. I think we can serve both audiences equally well, however!

Cheers,
Cam

i think that's great Cam! i personally love playing Marvel heroes and i also like playing my own. so being able to do both and having you guys preparing a bunch of Marvel hero and villain datafiles is just awesome as far as i'm concerned. love this game.

Yeah, I am really liking the way MHR is being set-up in terms of books. And I am really digging playing existing Marvel characters. Now if I could just get an official datafile for Red Hulk I'd be all set. :)

1602 would be cool.
Anniliation is going to be rad!

Some Imperial Guard and the War of Kings would be cool
Also the Heralds of Galactus along with the other Cosmic Entities (Watch, Living Tribunal, etc...) would be fun to see.

The idea of a Noir pulp setting makes me smile. Just a really, big, happy-in-my-heart kind of smile. I liked the Marvel Noir take on some of the heroes, tried talking my players into a Noir Avengers game, but failed. So, if nothing else, I could enjoy a write up event/setting...or use it as the result of a time experiment gone wrong...OR! The machinations of Kang to displace the pesky heroes so he can have the future all to himself! Ooooo...

I believe that War of Kings is one fo the Annihilation Sourcebooks being released.

I'm looking forward to the Age of Apocalypse book. I always enjoyed that alternate reality series. Saw a lot of potential for adventure in that world.

I liked some of the 2099 stuff and thought there was some potential to it. The best character for me was the Spider-Man 2099, but I did enjoy the X-Men too. Some other stuff was not so great though. Anyways, because it wasn't as fleshed out it may not be such a great option. Might work better as a fan project.

I'd like to see a solo hero event book. Something for those street-level heroes like Spider-Man, Daredevil, Moon Knight, Punisher, etc.

I LOVE the event books. That's where other Super rpg's really fail. Having the events cover existing story lines is brilliant. I recently ran breakout to a new group and they LOVED the fact the they were pretty much following the actual story and I was able to use the comics as visual aids; beautiful!!!
