Civil War Event Book: Hero Datafile List

Hey folks!

I thought you'd like to know which heroes get 2-page entries as hero datafiles in the core CW Event Book. The list is as follows:

Our list of hero datafiles for the 50 State Initiative Event Supplement is as follows, though subject to approval:

Armory, Black Cat, Bullseye, Cloud 9, Colleen Wing, Hardball, Hellcat, Howard the Duck, Justice, Komodo, Misty Knight, Moonstone, MVP, Paladin, Penance, Radioactive Man, Shang-Chi, Songbird, Swordsman, The Gauntlet, Trauma, Venom, War Machine, Elsa Bloodstone, Meltdown, Monica Rambeau, The Captain, Aaron Stack (Machine Man)

Hi Cam!

First of all I'd like to say that I really like the ability to talk to the development team!

Now, just a question: Why are some characters repeated in CW (like Cap America and Wolverine)?

I'm not Cam... but the repeated Datafiles are due to differences between the Breakout one and the Civil War one. Wolverine for instance will have his unlocked memories, since he's post House of M. And Cap likely won't have his SHIELD status. Plus different Civil War specific Milestones. We'll find out soon.

As Beast says, these heroes are written up now as Civil War versions, some of which will have different Distinctions, others have different Power Sets or Milestones. We also don't assume that everyone has the Basic Game (though most people do), we want these Event Books to be entirely standalone resources for playing in the Event. If we left Captain America out of the Civil War event book, that'd be a strange omission.

Note that the Operations Manual DOES NOT include the hero datafiles. Basic Game's hero datafiles are part of Breakout, not the Operations Manual. So, for the Premium Edition of the Event Books, which include the OM in the hardcover, the only hero datafiles included all be the ones we include for Civil War.

If I purchase the Premium Hardback edition.
I will get the Civil War and 50 state initiative in that one book?

Because Hulk was still off world during Civil War. See Planet Hulk.

No. The 50 State Initiative book is a separate supplement book.

The Premium Edition has the main rules from the Operations Manuel included.

Because neither Hulk nor Thor were involved in the Civil War comics.

The Premium version is the Civil War event + the rules manual. The Essentials version is just the event, with no rules.
