Watcher's Event Sheet

Watcher's Event Sheet

Postby Evil Genius Prime » Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:48 pm

I was wondering if anyone has made an event sheet for the Watcher? Something like a sheet where the watcher could record the specifics for a custom event. A place to list Scene Distinctions, a Watcher character roster, starting doom pool, ect.

I haven't seen one around. Is it something you can't put together?

It's an interesting thing to think about. Is putting an event together too dynamic a process to usefully boil it down to a one-sheet (or two sheets) or not? They all have 1-n Acts, some number of action scenes, some number of event milestones, and some number of unlockables. I could see an app-specific object-based template working - need another set of event milestones? drag one onto your worksheet - but it doesn't seem like the kind of thing you could boil down to a PDF.

But maybe I'm wrong!

Well, you could probably create a document template for it. But, it would have to be expandable by the user. Some Acts are going to be shorter, in written form, than others. And, different people use different levels of notes to run a game.

I'm actually using a mindmap app to plan my upcoming 1-act intro game. Here's what it looks like.

Cool idea! I hadn't thought of using a mind map for this. I like it! :D

I'd work on it myself, but I lack the programs to make such a thing. I thought I'd just drop the idea out here, and see if anyone else had come up with something like it. :)

You know, Google Draw will work for creating something like that. I used G Draw for Conflict Maps in Smallville. I actually like that graphical representation a bit more, even though it looks like you'll need more space for the information that you would if it were written down.

Nice. Extra points for a title straight from the Leverage RPG. :)
