Dice Pool Assembly Strips

For keeping track of who's acted and who's still to go, we use this google docs spreadsheet (printed out on stiff paper) with one of the player's volunteered as "initiative monkey" to tick off people as they go.

How do you all use these strips?

I've been putting all of the possible dice on each space and then picking one from each space to build my pool. So, for instance, playing the Super-Skrull, I had a d6/d8/d10 on affiliation, a d4/d8 on distinction, a d10/d12 on Powerset 1, a d8/d10 on Powerset 2, and a d10/2d8/3d6 on Specialties.

Others in my group are leaving the strip empty and then placing a die on each space as they build their pool.

The first way made the most sense to me and seems helpful to me. But I think I'm in a very small minority on this. Using it the first way, some of the spaces are a bit small for my tastes/dice, so I plan to make a bigger one for myself.

Oh yeah! I'm still looking for the perfect item to use for Action Order tracking.

I've been using Avengers-style identicards, with the reverse side marked to show that the character has acted. Players flip them over when they act and back over at the end of the turn. It's worked well so far, and makes for a useful little in-character prop too...

We use a marvel set of cards that came as freebies in Marvel comics a while ago here. Just a regular set of cards, with the marvel characters depicted on them.

I use Marvel Heroclix for this, setting them on one half of the table and moving them to the other half when they've acted.

We've done the same and we've also used a poker chip (similar to those we use for PP & XP but a different colour) which is passed around the group.

I've found the Heroclix option was the clearest to follow.
