Battlestar Galactica RPG...the one oddball in my MWP collection.
BSG has the distinction of being the only MWP game that I am actually disappointed that it fell under the Cortex system.
Don't get me wrong...if my draw to BSG was the amazing character interaction and conspiracy/paranoia/survival stories that the TV show gave us, Cortex would be perfect for the game.
However, BSG is a license that pulls me in because of the Vipers and fighter combat. It is just the aspect of the property that is of the most interest to me and has been since the original BSG came out in the late 70's. I love some Viper on Raider action!
For that, I'd have loved to see a tactical, more crunch-driven rules set for space combat. Yes...maybe even a gridded system like that 4th Edition step-child.
Anyone playing BSG still?
What do most of your games center around?
Have you been able to run engaging space combat in your sessions? Maybe I've been too quick in my initial judgement on this topic. I'd love to hear that I am if anyone has thoughts on the matter.
