Someone did make a page that generates a random hero:

http://marvel.raventower.com/

It has a few bugs (it doesn't include any bonus SFX from what I can see) but generally works. Hit F5 to generate a new datafile.

i could use an interactive generator
when i see that program i dont see how it works and the paper version is to hard for me to understand. Because my autistic problem (see signature) i dont understand some conventions in RPG and relie on visual tools. I used to make my own visual generator when i was using the old marvel system (from tsr).

How about working with Hero Labs to create a character generator?

A Marvel Heroic game system add-on for HL would have to be free. I mean, there really isn't much system to character creation. Not enough to justify charging for.

Yeah...that is kind of the problem with a computer generator.

There really aren't very many hard and fast creation rules.

1) D10, D8, D6 allocation of Affiliation dice.

2) Three or so Distinctions of your choosing/creation..

3) One or more Power Sets of your choosing/creation.

4) Each Power Set with any number of Power Traits or your choosing/creation.

5) Each Power Trait with a die rating, likely D6-D12.

6) Each Power Set with at least one Limit of your choosing/creation.

7) Each Power Set with any number of Special Effects of your choosing/creation.

8) Any number of Specialties of your choosing/creation rated at Expert or Master level.

9) One or two Milestones of your choosing/creation.

Yeah...I have no idea how you would make that into a character generator. Well...unless you simply pre-filled all of the options to allow for point and click creation without any change of options.

Of course I know how to USE a computer, but I don't do much of anything on the programing side of things.

Someone much smarter than I could probably work this out somehow I guess.

If the guys at Lone Wolf Development had got back the Cortex license for Hero Lab, maybe we could have seen something at least fillable and printable.

'm personally toying with the idea of creating a character program using the random method posted here.
