Flim-Flam, or not Flim-Flam

Wouldn't it be metallokinesis? Ferro specifically means iron, metallo is the (anglicized) Greek work for metal. He can stop and manipulate bullets, which are not ferrous materials.

I've also seen him snatch (i.e. Afflict/Grapple) people using the iron in their blood (which probably is a stunt) which would be plain old X-Kinesis where he can lift whatever he needs to lift to progress the story.

In the grand scheme of things, its not tough to come up with a rationale behind anything in a comic book setting.

In the end it all comes down to fun. I would MUCH rather have someone justify a goofy use of a distinction that brings laughter and fun all around than try to restrict distinction use to what I think. Fun trumps all.

Exactly!

Whatever brings more fun to your table...roll with it.

No matter what any of us here say.

The literal opposite of flim-flam. That is a player who groks Marvel Heroic. Give him a large cookie and ask your other players to be more like him. Assuming it is a 'him' instead of a 'her' of course. Those pesky pronouns.
My apologies for occasional spelling... shenanigans. I typically post from mobile devices.

And that brings up a good point...

Let's say that your player WAS trying to just put as many dice in his pool as possible.

If it gets him/her to draw out the narrative, does it really matter?

That is what we are going for after all, right?

There will always be power gamers and min-maxers along with the narrative, bare-bones roleplayer. That isn't good or bad, just different takes on a game.

Bottom line, if you are getting good narrative at your table, I'm not sure it matters what else your player's goals might have been.

[That's just a general thought on the matter, not a criticism of the specific example brought out in the OP.]

Just a side note, the more dice you include in your pool the more chances of messing up you have, LOL. Living proof (those damn... four opportunities).
