So, I'm a brand new to watcher role, and I'm wondering bout this.
If a player creates a complication on my npc, and I want to fight it. Who do I roll against, the player that created it?

Yes; see OM54, second column.
Added:
Also see OM55 at the bottom, you can just spend a die out of the doom pool equal to, or larger than, the complication in order to get rid of it.

What I was really wondering about is who do I roll against a complication that's 'fired & forgot' like say, if Iceman freezes someone solid and then flies away.
Do I roll vs Iceman's original roll?
Normally a player would roll against the doom pool against a stand-alone complication like that.
Keji wrote:Well, it's a d8 complication in the first page(turn) against a villain, and there's only 2d6, so it's not an option.
Would I roll against the d8 + traits used to make the complication?

EldritchFire wrote:If the hero is no longer there to roll against, you just apply the highest die in your villain's dice pool as an effect die. If it's equal or greater, remove the complication. If it's less, step down the complication. No need to include the doom pool at all.

Better than I expected, thanks for the help.
