The Punisher and others...

The Punisher and others...

Postby Rtype1 » Thu May 03, 2012 5:18 pm

Hey there guys, I'm making this thread to post up some of my fan-made data files utilizing a data file sheet I designed based on those already available in the Marvel Heroic role playing system.

I also wanna thank the MW design team for creating such an awesome game system, been having a blast playing MHR so far.

So here's my write ups, I hope you guys dig them.

First up is my favorite character of all time

THE PUNISHER
(Gdocs Hyperlink)

Feedback is appreciated, next up is going to be NAMOR for a buddy of mine.

Way to go! I particulary like the Collateral Damage SFX. Dude is pumping up so much lead he doesn't care what happens to bystanders :P

I also love the way you edited the file to make it look so official, very professional.

Very cool!

As I've said...I'm very envious of all of you that have the graphics skills to make these kinds of presentations.

Very sweet!

Thanks a lot guys! I wanted something that looked like it actually came from the design team, but I re-sized it at 8.5 x 11 (for printing purposes).

Also had to do up my boy Frank since I couldn't find a fan version of him anywhere (not that I'm complaining). Next up is a Namor file for my friend for our upcoming game, then hopefully I'll tackle NEXTWAVE.

Awesome job on this datafile! I like the powersets and can see good synergy between the D10 Explosives and the D6 (boosted to D8) Traps (with Area Effect tossed in for good measure).

Very nice!

I always found the character to be very much concerned with bystanders considering what happened to his family. Mind you I haven't read much of the character in more recent years so maybe that has changed.

Well, I haven't read any... So, I'm just considering common knowledge. The way I see him, he punishes whoever needs to be punished, if he considered so much people around him he wouldn't be that effective at what he does. I think that's the reason why he tries not to bond, so the relationship doesn't compromise any of his plans.

But this is the point of view of someone who doesn't know the character thoroughly.

looks purty! I'm not sold on the myriad of different die levels on his arsenal (why not just use explosives all the time?). Guerrilla Warfare is a good substitute for simple physical training. Gives Frank some character. The milestones are really cool.

I actually agree with you on that aspect, I think I'm gonna drop collateral damage.

Think maybe drop explosives and make an sfx ability to represent those off times when frank pulls out something that goes boom?

yeah exactly. There should be an area SFX or Burst SFX for his explosives. Also, ditch the traps. Those should probably a stunt or transition scene resource from combat or covert. My two cents.
