Milestones for original characters

I ran a game of MHR last night with 4 original characters and 4 pre-existing Marvel characters. The character creation process went rather seamlessly except that Milestones are really difficult to come up with at the game table.

The easiest thing to do is to adapt an existing hero's Milestones, but those aren't all listed in one place and sometimes are places that make sense when you think about it -- but aren't the first place you'd think to look. Such as Sue Richards' "Independent" or Reed's "Guilt-Ridden." Other Milestones are pretty specific to the existing characters.

So I made up a list which I'm going to use next time that includes some of my own Milestones, adaptations of the Milestones in the basic rules, and a few I read on the net and liked.

This should help my players a lot, so they don't have to depend just on the Event Milestones.

This is a great resource! I'm not at all wounded that Magnitude's milestones didn't make the list either!

Very nice, and thank you. This was a sticking point this past week, as my players all work 40+ hours a week (and I do more than that for Daring Entertainment) and the idea of creating Milestones when they created characters before the session started was an issue.

Even though they are experienced roleplayers, it came down to brand new characters in a homebrew Marvel Universe . . . and quite frankly their characters tend to go through a big push of characterization development once they start playing them (usually takes a session or two for them to really get a feel for "who" they are), so Milestones from ground-zero bugged the hell out of them.

Having such a list is VERY helpful!
