Printing Datafiles?

metalman42, did you somehow not get the PDF via DriveThruRPG? There are several files you can download when you purchase it. One of these is the printer-friendly hero datafiles that have no blue backgrounds.

When I bought the book at my FLGS they said the PDF package was just for pre-orders. I made sure to pre-order Civil War so I'd get the PDF for that!

No, any MWP book you purchase from your FLGS, assuming they're a Preferred Retailer, gets you a free PDF. You just have to send us an email, give us the details of your store and date of purchase, etc. Preorder or not.

And there is no chance this printer-friendly datafiles will be available as a resource for those who got the book but not the pdf? I would have bought from a FLGS if there was any available in my country...

Unfortunately, because we do not yet have international distribution rights, no game stores outside of North America have the book to sell. If you've purchased the book via some Internet reseller like Amazon or BookDepository, then you don't get the PDF for free, and therefore you won't have got the printer-friendly datafiles. That said, the PDF is relatively inexpensive on DriveThruRPG (about US $13) and includes a lot of bonus stuff you don't get in the book, including those printer-friendly datafiles. We can't make those free outside of the PDF, because our licensors (Marvel) require that it be a part of the purchase.
