New Events for 2013!

Yes, it is. It's an animated show, so it has additional licensing considerations.

Cheers,

I only recently started watching episodes of SHS on Netflix...my daughters enjoy it quite a lot.

and yes, M.O.D.O.K. is quite cuddly, as are all the characters. I laughed out loud tonight when Captain Marvel called Thanos an "Asteroid Clown"

My 8 year old daughter wondered why I found that so funny...

I for one can skip zombies...I read a couple of the issues and felt "meh". I mean, I love me some zombie stories and all, but it just wasn't a fit for me. Now, for those that remember when the x-men took on dracula...that might make for some fun. Not enough to make a whole event book, but at least a fun "what if" or one-shot.

I seem to recall an issue somewhere in which they gathered folks from various versions of earth and one of the heroes was a Wolverine who had been turned by Dracula and then became the leader of the x-men...

Super Hero Squad is indeed awesome...

But it shouldn't be too hard to adapt a fun light adventure if you want.

I have actually run my daughter a few times...she is playing spiderwoman and chose to have the invisible woman and colossus as her teammates. It is nice how quickly she has taken to the rules.

With a little help from me she has even run a game for me. I got to be spider-man, which was cool. I had an assist from Wolverine and made a bet with him that if I could take out more bad guys I got to call him "bub" for the rest of the night and he couldn't do the same...I spent every plot point possible to pull it off.

Oh, damn. Well... It's not a hard thing to houserule in its entirety (plus the damage mechanics can be revised somewhat to suit that arc), but a shame as it always nice to have a proper, official, release. Especially for such a strange arc. Thanks for the reply though, Cam (despite it being rather disappointing to read).

As I said, just a suggestion from one who has only just started to get into the Marvel Universe properly. But I guess the game isn't really intended/targetted for people like me... :p

I have to say...I didn't want to like the Zombies, but I read through the Ultimate FF introduction of them and that was a DANG creepy storyline.

I bought the first couple of straight-up Zombies collections and was intrigued for a bit...then just disappointed that such an interesting creation would get so quickly saturated with the flood of books. It quickly turned me off.

Still...while an official event is out (at least for now), I think the Zombie's world, even playing through the apocalypse, could be a great home-made event and campaign world.

We've got a Big Brother/Conspiracy heavy campaign world with Civil War. We're about to get a space epic with Annihilation. We've got a dark, mutant's rule alt-future setting with Age of Apocalypse. A horror setting would be a nice addition to the various campaigns.
