Cortex - We're Listening!
We not only listen, we respond! Our own Cortex System RPG was reviewed on RPG Blog II. We appreciate this blog and the comments associated with it ... and we've taken action.
As a company, Margaret Weis Productions, knows we have to be responsive to you – the people that support, use, and buy the games we create. We want to hear from you and create an environment where you feel comfortable letting us know when we hit it out of the park as well as when we should change up batters.
RPG Blog II's review inspired our team. PDF pricing is both challenging and evolving based on today’s media. It’s true – we are primarily a print publisher, but we also want to be accessible and are paying closer attention to electronic publishing as a whole. And guess what? It was time to make a change and dramactially lower the price on the PDF of our CORTEX RPG SYSTEM. So the day the review appeared we responded and now, the PDF is officially priced at $9.99 ... in great part due to RPG Blog II and the thoughtful comments posted in response. To those out there that purchased CORTEX through RPGNow/DriveThruRPG at the higher price within 90 days of our making the change, we took care of you.

SpringheeledjackJust purchased a hard copy of Supernatural Guide to the Hunted. While the content is great, very dissapointed to pay $34.95 for a softcover book. Was expecting a hardcover for the price.

SeanWell, the price change moved Cortex from mildly interesting to worth checking out for me, and I'm glad it did. We'll be playtesting it in a couple of weeks.

Mark RobinsonI have just purchased the Cortex System RPG and I must say that it is dynamite on paper! Not too crunchy, not to soft, this system will become my CORE system for generic games. Mash potatoes and gravy, this system is great and I am looking forward to playing it for years to come. (I bought the PDF before the book; I bought the book because pdfs are too hard to read and understand all at once.) Thanks again for a great product!
